Legitimate Home Based Opportunities
Hi,I have been blogging for a while now, and I just realized I never blogged about my Home Business Resource Guide.
I know many people are concerned about falling prey to scams. And there are a lot of them out there, but there are also a lot of good, legitimate home based businesses.
For the past year, I have researched home based opportunities and legitimate ways to work from home. I have compiled the information into a Home Business Guide, with over eighty legitimate home based opportunities and about fifty training resources to help you prepare for a business.
All the resources have been checked out with the Better Business Bureau, and I have communicated with people involved with the opportunities I have included.
If you are concerned about getting caught up in a scam, or simply need ideas, or don't have the time to do the research yourself, pick up a copy of this guide at http://www.legitimate-homebasedbusinesses.com/

What does the BBB have to do with preventing fraud?
You should check to see that the business opportunity is registered in all states with business opportunity laws.
I mean all states.
Michael,
I believe it is important to check with the BBB, because if there have been complaints against the company with the BBB, they would have a record of the complaint and if the company resolved it or not.
In the case where someone got their money taken by a certain opportunity dishonestly, and they reported it to the BBB, there would be a record of it.
If the company resolved it by refunding their money, the BBB would note that.
However, if the company ignored the complaint, there would be a record of that also, and, most likely, an unsatisfactory rating given by the BBB.
