Why do you want to work from home?

Hi,

What's the reason you want to work from home? People do for all kinds of reasons. Among the most common are:

  • want to spend more time with family
  • want the flexibility of hours
  • want to be their own boss
  • want to get rid of their commute
  • have physical/emotional limitations, which makes working from home a better option
  • just need some extra money
When I began working from home, I had homeschooled my kids for ten years prior. My youngest was graduating, so I wanted to move on to something else. I struggled with depression, so the idea of getting a job outside the home was too overwhelming for me.

I began looking into working from home - starting my own business - which was the direction I felt led to go. God opened the door to a business that I loved. I later moved into what I am doing now - connecting people with home businesses - which I have loved even more!

Having a home business challenged me and gave me something to think about instead of wallowing in depression. The extra money didn't hurt either!

My goal is to help others find a business that will be right for them and fill the need they have for wanting to work from home.

Hi there,

Great post.

The reason why I am working at home is financial freedom, time freedom and being there for my family.

Working from home is so rewarding and more and more people should do it and take control of their life.

So many benefits I could go on and on. I love working at home and taking care of my daughter and bringing in a nice income from my business. Financial freedom is nice but the biggest reason I enjoy working from home is time freedom. Being your own boss too helps :)

My job as international management consultant has required me to be overseas most times of the year while my family has remained at home. Not exactly a very ideal situation for family and marriage life.

Three years ago, I decided that I want to spend more time with my family. That's when I left my consulting career and jumped right in to e-commerce which can be managed at home.
