Do you need help in caring for a loved one?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to talk to you today about something that, if you are facing it, would probably be very glad to get some help with. Below is an email I received from Rhea Perry, who has served the homeschooling community for quite some time. Here is her email:

Do you or someone you know care for a family member at home?

Is this family responsibility in your future?

My husband and I cared for his dad for 3.5 years before
he died in March, 2006.

We were not prepared for what we encountered, yet were
convinced we were doing the right thing.

Our neighbor was 24 years old when he became paralyzed
from the waist down in a 4-wheeler accident.

His pregnant wife suddenly found herself caring for a
toddler and a husband who could no longer earn an income
in the construction field.

It took a while for her to adjust… after she had the baby.

One of my dear friends, Debra Thompson of Fayetteville,
Tennessee, has a heart to provide support for families
who care for their loved ones at home.

She is a wise former homeschooling mom who encourages
others who care for or are preparing to care for family
members at home.

Whether you’re facing this situation or not, listen to
this call. You never know when you may.

The call is Tuesday night, January 22 at 9 PM Eastern
Time.

The number to call is 605-475-4150

The passcode is 42037#

You are welcome to pass this on to anyone you know.

Have a good week!
Laurie
