Share your challenge and enter to win!

Hi,

I am running a contest and am going to be giving away a free copy of my Home Business Resource Guide. This will include all the recent additions and bonuses.

All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment and share what is your biggest challenge in starting a home based business. In other words, what is holding you back? What would have to be different for you to go ahead and take the plunge and start a business?

Leave your comment and I will be picking a winner next Monday, January 28th. Be sure to include your email so I can get in touch with the winner. Just click on "comments" in the lower right corner of this post to leave yours.

Thank you!
Laurie

I just don't know what I could do or even where to begin. I live way out of town and gas to get to town is a problem, as is money to start anything up out here. I used to have a day care, but there are no children near here that would need watching.

I just don't know who to trust. There are thousands if not millions out there just looking to take your money and give you nothing but garbage. I've tried a couple small steps in the past (low investment) but have been burned. So I guess learning to trust someone is essential for me to pull the trigger of starting a home business!

My biggest challenge right now is that I have interests that don't have a current market. I need new interests...

My best referral business is network marketing. Hits on the website are minimal. I find that word of mouth advertising works the best. How can that be incorporated with my web ads? More hits would be great!

I believe our "Attitude" will determine our "Altitude" in overcoming our obstacles. I have more obstacles now than ever before so that is why I have to challenge myself to greater heights. My obstacles are: Lack of a Home, Knowledge for a Home Based Business, and the finances so I have to put my heart and mind into the "PUSH" mode to make it. I have to believe God will help me make it using the talents I posess. My greatest challenge is in "Believing I can do it!"

Hi Laurie,

I would like to share my biggest challenge in my quest to be able to work from home. I completed a medical Transcription Course in 2006 and also passed the CMT exam. I sent out over 75 resumes and was asked the same question by numerouse potential employers, "how did you get a CMT Credential if you are a new graduate?" After investigating and inquiring with my school and a state agency I found out that the CMT Credential can only be obtained after two years on the job acute care training and only through AHDI. The medical transcription industry is rapidly changing and if you do not stay abreast of the changes and become part of the Association that leads these changes you will find the same challenges that I did. Do not depend on the schools to keep you informed because they themselves do not know. Through trial and error I have finally made my way to where I want to be and will be starting an medical transcription apprenticeship program in May 2008 which will enable me to work from home at an hourly wage with benefits. This is extremely important to me because I have a number of health issues that make it extremely difficult for me to work outside of my home. I have learned so much throuth my journey which started in Feb. 2205 and if I can help anyone who is thinking of getting into medical transcription has an occupation please send my email. Maybe I can help them avoid the hard knocks.
