My Day

I thought I”d write about what I”ve been up to today.  Not much business going on:-)

I am cooking for Thanksgiving and having some people over.  I started to get a little nervous thinking about getting the house cleaned up and planning what I was going to make for the meal.

Now, I have cooked every Thanksgiving since we’ve been married, so this will be my 25th one to cook.  So I have the whole traditional Thanksgiving dinner pretty much to a science.

My dilemma this year is that we are having someone who is a strict vegan (mainly a raw foodist) and everyone else who is coming eats meat and everything else.

My husband, son and I are vegan, but are not so strict about it.  So I do still make turkey each year with all the trimmings.  But I want to make sure I have some things the man who is a vegan will eat, so I am getting a little overwhelmed thinking of making two meals.

He said he will eat some things before he comes but I really want to be a good hostess and have some foods everyone will like.

So, today this is where my mind has been.   I have also been cleaning so I don’t have to do it all next week.

Isn’t working at home wonderful?  You can be quite flexible.  I love it!

What are you doing on Thanksgiving?  Are you cooking or going out?

I’m going to my mom’s for Thanksgiving. Fortunately this year I am only a 2 min drive from her house. We get to visit and go home to sleep instead of sleeping on the floor. Mom’s a fabulous cook. In fact, I get to help her this year and she gets to use my freezer to store all her pre made goodies. Happy Thanksgiving Laurie!
