“B” is for Bookkeeping Business
Aug 29th, 2008 by Laurie Neumann
Let’s look at a “B” busiiness - Bookkeeping. If you are good with math and like detail, starting a bookkeeping business may be ideal for you.
Your best bet would be to find owners of small businesses who cannot afford to pay a bookkeeper full-time and who are too busy to do the bookkeeping themselves, or who may not like that aspect of the business. Many of them would be happy to hire out the bookkeeping. If you can secure a good number of these clients, you can be easily kept busy with this business.
Approach small business owners in your area or online. You can advertise in your local newspaper or yellow pages. Create a website where perspective clients can read about you and find out your pricing. Include testimonials from satisfied clients on your site - it helps create trust in you and your work.
Many people use QuickBooks financial software to help them in their business. There are also some good guides out there to help you get a bookkeeping business up and running.
