Bible Verses for Business

Communication is very important when running your own business.  You will need to communicate with customers/clients and other business owners.   It is vital that your communication be good and edifying.

Let’s look at Titus 2:8 to see how our speech should be.  “Sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.”

In your communication, you want it to be so that no one can say anything negative about you – at least as much as it is up to you.

Practically, that means not getting angry with upset customers or unreasonable clients.  Everyone has their bad days, but in general, your speech should be kind and not condemning or condescending.

Let’s make it a goal this week to answer those we have contact with in our business with a “soft answer.” Proverbs 15:1

Oh it’s good to see someone posting about the importance of communication! Thanks for taking up the cause with me. So much of the troubles we have in life stem from miscommunication and so much of business depends upon effective communication. Yet very few people actually study communication skills, this is why I wrote a study specifically for business owners.

“Let your conversation always be full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Colossians 4:6

“-So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

“He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend.” Proverbs 22:11

  3. Those are great verses, JoJo. Thanks for sharing them.

    Thanks for your comment, Wanda!
