Hi,

Well, my son is off on another golf weekend. This time in Lake Placid. I think he’s thoroughly enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

To bring our discussion of creating an online business to a close, I thought we could look at some other possibilities of things you do to work online that I have previously mentioned in other posts.

Hi,

Well, continuing on with our discussion of how to create an online business, let’s look at starting a Proofreading business from home. If you are looking for Christian proofreading jobs, think about starting your own business geared toward doing proofreading for Christian business owners or authors.

You can join forums where other business owners or authors congregate and make it known that you provide proofreading services. Just don’t be obnoxious about it:-) Always follow the rules of the forum in posting.

You can join Christian forums, such as the Pink Collar Club and get to know other Christians there. Let them know about the service you offer.

Hi,

Did you have a nice weekend? August weather is turning out to be nicer than July’s. I”ll take it anytime of the year:-)

Well, we have been talking about starting an online business. We’ve discussed:

* Affiliate Marketing
* Writing an ebook and selling it
* Adsense sites

Today, let’s talk about how to sell things on the ever-popular Ebay. I know you know about this option, but let’s look at some of the big advantages of Ebay.

Hi,

Well, another weekend is almost upon us. Got any plans this weekend? The weather is supposed to be nice here, so we’ll have to enjoy it and find something to do outside:-)

Continuing on with our discussion about how to create an online business, let’ s talk about creating Adsense sites. Adsense is the term used for Google ads. When you let Google place ads on your site, you earn money when someone clicks on one of the ads. Now, this is not going to get you rich quick if you only have one little site that only gets a few visitors. The key here, is to have multiple sites and to get a LOT of traffic to your sites.

Hi,

Let’s continue on with our discussion about how to create an online business. I think so many people look for a business that is already set up and going and want to join it. That’s fine, as long as it’s a legitimate one. But many don’t look at the possibilities there are in creating your own online business.

Last time we talked about Affiliate Marketing. That is one of my favorite ways to do business online. If there are already good products out there, why reinvent them? If you think you can do better than what’s out there, then that’s what you can do - make your own, improving on the existing ones.

Hi,

Hope you had a great weekend. My husband and I rented a canoe on Saturday and canoed on a bay in our area.

I wanted to start a series about ways you can work from home using your computer.

Today, let’s talk about Affiliate Marketing. What is Affiliate Marketing? It is the process of selling other peoples products., whether they are physical products or digital, and earning a commission each time you make a sale.

As with anything, you want to choose a “niche” and focus the affiliate products you choose around that niche. For example, if you love pets, specifically dogs, you can look for affiliate products like dog toys, clothes, or food. Or dog training videos/books. Or doggie beds and blankets.

Hi,

I come across many people who are looking for home data entry employment. Unfortunately, I have to discourage them from that because of how many scams there are out there in that field.

What I do recommend to them, if they are a good typist, is to consider starting a Work from Home Transcription business. That would involve transcribing audio/video recordings to typed text

Hi,

I hope you had a nice weekend. Time to get back to work!

I wanted to talk today about the option of doing some work at home proofreading. I am the type of person who, while reading a story, article, etc. has a hard time concentrating on it if there are grammatical/spelling errors in it. I just want to get out my red pen and start circling! I can’t help it - it’s just a natural inclination. Imagine my poor kids during their homeschooling years!
