Have you considered affiliate marketing? You would need to check with the owners of the products you want to promote to see if it matters where you live. It’s a fairly inexpensive and quick way to get started online. Check out the post I wrote yesterday on a really easy way to get started in niche affiliate marketing

I heard back from Kim (she’s been a little busy – the book just launched today!) and she said she doesn’t really specify serving size that much. She felt most be would fine for a family of four, but the serving sizes can vary.

The book is WONDERFUL! I’ll ask Kim more about the serving sizes. The ones I have made have been 4 servings, I believe.

I had been copying other Christian online entrepreneurs and avoided expressing my faith while conducting business. But that never felt right. NEVER.

I find scheduling my day is KEY to being productive. I have a list of things I need to do each day, and that helps so much when I sit down at the computer – I know exactly what I’m going to do.

That sounds good about taking your rubbing stamping/scrapbooking more online. If something doesn’t work, we need to try something else. Let us know!

Goal #1: Schedule my days and follow the schedule.
Goal #2: Post to my sites daily (time management should help!)

If I get a better grasp on my time I will be able to get ahead on posts!

I am finding that the physical area I am in right now is not the best spot for my rubber stamping and scrapbooking business, so I am taking it online more. In order for it to be profitable, break even at this point would be fine for now, I need to up my online game.

Good question! PLR stands for private label rights. PLR is something (like articles or reports) that have been written by someone else. You can claim the “authorship” to PLR, but I always suggest that you change it somewhat to make it really you. You can do that by adding some of your own experiences, opinions and examples. The PLR is yours to use as you want (just read the guidelines of the site where you buy the PLR and stay within them.)

You can use PLR on your blog, website, in a newsletter, or create a product with it such as a report of eBook.

We haven’t talked in a while! Hope all is well. Everytime I go to the Country Cupboard, I am inspired to do things really top-notch. I came home, ready to redecorate our house!

It is perfectly fine for our blog goals to change, but we should have a goal at all times. The goal may be to simply entertain or stay in touch with family and friends, but it’s still a goal. We need to know what we want our blog to do, and it sounds like you have a great goal!

So now my goals have changed for the blog. More guest bloggers, contests/giveaways and of course promoting the guest of the podcast and creating a community. One that spreads the Gospel!

I find that when I use bold or italics in the body it helps to keep your eyes moving down the screen. When I sit at one place on a page for too long (like a too long paragraph) I end up leaving. Bold words help to keep my eyes moving.

You are definitely on a roll with this Information Products series!

I have an Android phone and there are tons of apps for taking notes, but I use one that is like having colored Post-it notes. It’s called ColorNote. Super easy and straightforward. I also have Evernote on my phone and each computer in the house. That way they are all in sync.

These are all great questions!

I think images are good in information products if they add something to it – in other words, does it benefit the reader to have an image there? I don’t think they should be just thrown in there, but things like screenshots can really help people understand what you’re trying to teach them when used.

Length – you can write either short reports, longer reports or an ebook. I would generally say an ebook is about 30 pgs or more. But it’s not necessary to call it an “ebook” if you can say what you want in 20 pages. I don’t like to add “fluff” to my products, nor do I like to read things that are “fluffed.” I think you should give good, solid information, and however long that takes, is what you offer.

Video – I have never done video in an ebook, so I”m probably not the best person to answer this. I do think using video to promote your product is an excellent way to do it.

I edit my own products. I would say it depends on how well you are at catching mistakes. I am kind of a “natural” proofreader. I’m always ready to get out my red pen and start correcting things I read! I would say, if you’re doing the editing yourself, to after you write your product, leave it for a day or two, then go back and read it over.

You’re not alone! But I know that it is really important to stay consistent with this to attract and engage followers. Same as it is with a blog.

I am so glad this is timely for you! You know, I love systems – otherwise, I draw a blank too. If I know how to get started and go about it, the whole process goes so much easier.

That is such a good idea about jotting things down on your phone. I don’t know how to do that on my phone, but I do keep a small notebook in my purse.

I am working on an “information product” myself that will cover much more in depth what we are talking about in the blog posts. And I will be offering a bonus that talks about kindle and other formats.
