“D” – Disciples Cross
Sep 3rd, 2008 by Laurie Neumann
I wanted to take an opportunity to talk about Disciples Cross. This has been a controversial home based business opportunity among Christians for a while now.
Disciples Cross offers the opportunity to purchase a kit to make cross necklaces. For any Christian who likes to make crafts, this seems like an excellent opportunity, right? Let’s look at the pros and cons.
Pros: You are creating a product that means something. As Christians, we know the significance of the cross. So, this opportunity offers you the chance to make and sell something that carries with it an important message.
It offers a very flexible home business, in that you can make the crosses as your schedule allows. You can also decide the pricing of the crosses, setting the price at what you feel is fair and profitable.
Cons: It can take some time to get used to making the crosses, which can be discouraging when you’re starting out. This can cut down on the number of crosses you are able to make at first.
The Buy Back Program – my understanding is that it does NOT work. So you do not want to go into this opportunity if this is the way you are planning on earning money. You will need to sell the crosses on your own, which many people do and enjoy it. They sell at craft shows, flea markets, Christian book/gift stores, church fundraisers and online.
I do want to make that clear. If this is an opportunity you are interested in, you will need to sell the crosses on your own and do not depend on the buy back program.
If you want to check into this opportunity, you can do so at www.disciplescross.com. Just thoroughly check into it before you decide. I recommend you do this for any opportunity you are considering.
Talk to you Friday!
I did this and loved th crosses but the cost for material is very high. To bad I pray someone else could come up with a concept like this. I love doing a service for God.
I want you to know I really appreciate your hard work and hopefully I will someday make money instead of losing it. Right now I’m looking to sell on Ebay. I also will be appling all of your wonderful help.
Have a blessed day
Jackie
Jackie,
Thank you for your comment and your kind words.
There is a group on yahoo.com for Disciples Cross and I believe that someone in that group does sell the materials for making crosses less expensively.
Sorry, I tried to get the exact url for you, but for some reason, it’s not letting me into yahoo right now:-) I think you would find it if you go into yahoo and search in the “groups” section.
Ebay can be a good business. I wish you much success with it!
Blessings,
Laurie
