Empty Nest Syndrome – Help!!

I recently wrote an article about dealing with empty nest syndrome and some things that can help.  I am not at that stage yet, as both my kids are still living with us.  But I have felt the “void” that comes after you’ve homeschooled for ten years, have your kids graduate, and then find yourself with a lot of time and are not sure what to do with it.

Having an empty nest can leave you with feelings of emptiness, lonliness, maybe even depression.  So what do you do?  Here are some tips.  http://www.christianhomebusinessconnection.com/empty-nest-syndrome.html

    Laurie,
I already have one dd out of the house and only one son left. Staying busy with my son and my business does, indeed, help me not miss her so much! But also I think your point of getting involved in something is well taken for the retired man or woman who may be feeling a little empty from lack of focus they had each day at work. Great post!

Thanks for the comment, JoJo. As I stated in my article, I remember so clearly my own mom feeling this emptiness and didn’t know how to remedy it. I always remembered that, and try to keep involved in things, like my church and my business. My little bichon helps with companionship too!

  3. I am living with my family including father, mother and brother. I read your story about “Empty Nest Syndrome” i felt that no person should go through this stage. I will not going to create this stage for my parents.
