You need to get backlinks to your website for two main reasons.
- To get ranked high in the search engines
- To get free traffic
If you want to increase your traffic, getting a high search engine ranking REALLY helps. And it is free traffic! But, in order to achieve this, you have to get backlinks to your site.
Backlinks occur when another website links back to yours. The search engines see this as a “vote” for your site, and they like that:-)
