Go the extra mile. You can increase your business (and income) by going the extra mile and doing more than what is expected of you. Think about it. How motivated are you when you are just doing what you have to do to get by? Not very.
When you take a sincere interest in people and do all you can to help them, you get helped too – it increases your motivation, and bottom line, it will increase your business.
Determine to offer the best customer service possible, or the very best product you can.

So true Laurie! I would add to that the following:
-Answer emails as soon as you can. I am always getting emails back from customers that are impressed that I emailed them sometimes within minutes!
-Anticipate your customer’s needs. Your customers or clients don’t always know how your business works and may ask you a question where the answer won’t really help them. Anticipate their needs and go the extra mile to explain something they didn’t ask but need to know.
I would agree, Laurie. In today’s economy, there are so many trying to “make” it out there by working at home or outside the box. You have to be more than average, much more. You truly need to take an interest in your customer and build a relationship. Without that, you’re toast. JoJo’s tips are wonderful, too, especially about answering emails quickly. That’s one of the things I have to improve upon.
