Have Confidence!

Did you have a nice 4th of July?  My husband and I spent it at a nearby lake (Canandaigua Lake.)  It’s a beautiful area.   We had lunch at a nice restaurant that is right on the water and then took a walk along the lake.   We took pictures which I intended to share with you, but I took them on my cell phone, and my daughter tells me I can’t upload them to the computer without having text messaging?  I don’t know about these things, so the next time, I”ll bring our camera:-)

Well, today, I wanted to talk more about the Proverbs 31 woman.  Let’s look at v.18 “She perceives that her merchandise is good…”   The Proverbs 31 woman had confidence in what she did.   Do you have confidence in what you offer?

I think it is so important to have confidence that what we offer is good.  If we aren’t convinced of that, no one else will be either.  That is why it is SO important to choose a business that utilizes our strengths and skills.   And one that we believe in – that what we offer will benefit others.

I also think that it is important to market your business in ways that you are comfortable with and that allow you to display confidence.  If we try to take part in marketing activities that make us uncomfortable or incredibly nervous, we will not show confidence in what we have to offer.   People buy from those who are confident in what they do.

Laurie I think you are spot on when it comes to needing confidence and belief in your product to be an effective marketer of it. Zig Ziglar says that the process of selling is really nothing more than the transference of a feeling about the product from yourself to your potential customer. If we don’t have that confidence in our product it is very hard to be able to transfer that feeling. Without it, we end up becoming more like a con man trying to pass off inferior products to an unwitting mark.

    Hi Brad,

Funny you should mention Zig’s name. I am currently reading his book, “Over the Top” for the second time. You’ve shared some great insight, Brad. Thanks for your comment!

Laurie, this is one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible. This post was so encouraging. What you said a business that utilizes our strengths is SO true! Also, I love Zig Ziglar and will have to check out that book by him that you’re reading! He’s great. Did you just add the “Share this” plugin to your site? I don’t think I”ve seen it before. Your site looks great! :D

Thanks Beth! I am so glad you were encouraged by this post.

Yes, I did just add the “share this.” I watched the video that Cindy provided on plugins and thought I’d give it a try. I would like to say I got it all working myself, but in all honesty, I had to enlist my husband’s help:-)

    Thanks for stopping by.
