And now…here’s Candy!
How does any mother manage to home school, run a home based business, and have twelve children? Tell you the truth, some days I wonder that too!
The answer is simpler than you think – the Word of God.
I know that I couldn’t survive if I didn’t have God and His Word to get me through.
2 Timothy 3:16
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
I have put together a simple list of ways to help you manage your life while you home school, run your home based business, and train your children up in the way they should go.
1. Pray, pray, pray! God is the best organizer. Go to him and let him teach you how to organize your life.
2. Go to the Word. I can’t stress this enough. Find a Scripture that relates to your needs. Read it, speak it, meditate on it.
3. Family unity. Remember that God gave you your family. You are not in this by yourself. Don’t be afraid to delegate jobs around the house. You would be surprised at how much even a young child is able to handle.
4. Have a list – make a schedule. Now that you have incorporated the help of your family, give them a list of things they need to accomplish. Make sure they know what you expect of them, and when you expect it.
Don’t forget to make yourself a schedule. Life can get overwhelming when there is so much to do. A schedule keeps you focused and on track.
5. Fifteen minutes. Any room can be put into decent order in just fifteen minutes. Actually, five minutes can do wonders. I know that housework can be overwhelming while we try to work on school and business. Remembering that all I need to do is take fifteen minutes to put things into order really helps to de-stress me.
I pray that these five simple steps help you to manage your life while you home school and run your home based business.

Very well written Candy!
Great Job! I am proud of you!!!
Candy very good article. I have use flylady.net to help me organize my home years ago. Now my house is never more that 30 to 60 minutes away from clean and yes I do assign chores. When all 9 kids lived at home I would assign and old child with a younger child. Now half of my kids do not live at home anymore. My younger kids are a great help from their older siblings. I only have the youngest to train.
Great article.
YOU ROCK!
