Hi, I’ve been reading your blogs for a while now and I enjoy them. I’ve wanted to start a business for a long time but never knew what I wanted to do. Over the past month it dawned on me how much I love sharing my experience with and helping people. A friend suggested becoming a counselor or coach. Since I’m 46 and have no desire to attend college for 4 to 6 yrs and become a psychologist, where would be a good place to try my hand at maybe life coach.

    Hi Keith,
I’m glad you enjoy the blog. There are some online courses you can take and receive certification in coaching. I received my certification through the Biblical Coaching Academy at http://www.biblicalcoaching.com

There are also a lot of good resources at http://www.coach22.com – I don’t know if they offer a certification, but have a lot of training materials.

Blessings to you. Let me know if I can help in any way.

    Hi Joan

I think Shaklee, like any other direct sales company, is something that you need to build a loyal customer base for. The good thing is that their products are consumable, meaning that people who really love the products will come back and buy from you again and again. A good consumable product and good customer service are very important to a successful business model.

Do you know anyone who sells Shaklee? I would talk with them or some others in company to see how profitable it is for them.
