Let’s Talk With Annette Yen!

Today, we’re talking with Annette Yen.  I have had the pleasure of knowing Annette for a while now, and she is a delight!  Always easy to work with and aims to please.

1.  Can you tell us what business you are in?

I’ve been in “Direct Sales” for many many years but more specifically in direct sales with a company called Noah’s Ark Workshops for the last 5 years.  My website is http://www.funwithmojo.com.

2.  How many hours a week do you usually work?

It varies and my usual answer is “too many”!  There are some weeks where I feel like I’m working a full 40+ hour work week and other weeks where I just work 1-2 hours a day at the most.

3.  Tell us what an average work day is like for you.

Hmmmm… average work day?  Is there such a thing?  For the most part I spend a lot of time answering emails and phone calls, following up with people who are interested in my business and working with my team, developing and working on new ways to get the word out about my parties and my company and networking online to build trust, relationships and rapport.

4.  How long did it take your business to become profitable?

I worked VERY hard the first 6 months and was making a profit at that point albeit a small one because all of my income was going back into growing the business even more.

5.  What is the best piece of advice or tip you could give someone who wants to get started in the same type of business you’re in?

It’s my mantra now… be consistent (work your business a little or a lot every day) and persistent (push through the ups and downs which WILL come in any home business and in direct sales in particular).  Only then will you be able to find any success in this.  I  find so many people drop out because they gave up during the first lull or thought they could get by with just ordering a starter kit and never doing anything else.  It just doesn’t work that way.  Direct sales is a business and as such requires work… hard work.

6.  Anything additional you’d like to share?

I’m thankful for the opportunity to work hard from home and I hope more moms will see the vision for it.  Thanks for creating a way for them to find out more!

Thanks so much to Annette, for sharing with us.  Please make sure you visit her website.
