Monday, we talked about the importance of preserving memories. Today, let’s look at some options you have for running a business around this concept.
- Scrapbooking – this has become very popular. Scrapbooking is a way of
preserving photos along with the stories they tell. - Videography – this might include taking photos and putting them together to display a certain event or person’s life. We had a video made up for my daughter when she graduated from high school. It had all her friends in it and some of the events that were important to her growing up. We showed it at her graduation party and now she will always have that remembrance. I have seen people do this at weddings also.
- Cherish Bound – a business opportunity that is centered around helping people tell their stories. Instead of me trying to explain it, come back on Friday and listen to an audio interview done with Carol Rice, the founder of Cherish Bound. You’ll love it!

I had to smile while reading this blog post. I just launched my own business creating photo slideshows with music! (That's what you were describing when you talked about the video you had made for your daughter.) I have to agree that it is an excellent way to earn an income while working from home.
I homeschool my three children, and I have no desire to go back to the 9-5 daily grind. (Plus, who would hire a woman MY age with no recent work experience?) So the only way to bring in any extra income is to HIRE MYSELF.
I purchased an ebook through Homeschool Freebie of the Day that showed me how to get started in the business, but I've had to fill in a LOT of the gaps myself to take the business from just a local biz to having an online presence. I look forward to reading MORE posts about LEGITIMATE business opportunities, and what it really takes to get started!
Hi Julia,
That’s great! I think that would be an awesome business to run:-)
I homeschooled my kids too, and I think it’s wonderful that you can be there for them while still running a business!
I took a look at your site and I loved the video about your twins! What a treasure to keep.
Blessings to you:-)
