Types of Advertising

Hi,
Last time, we talked about free ways to advertise. That is mainly what I use, but there is the time and place for paid advertising as well.
If there is a website in your niche that gets a lot of targeted traffic, it may be worth it to pay to advertise on their site. When considering this, ask the website owner how many unique visitors they get per month. Usually, advertising on websites is pretty reasonably priced, so you can try it for a month and see what kind of results it brings.
There is also pay per click advertising, such as using Google Adwords to advertise your business. You need to familiaize yourself with how to do this and what your competitors are paying for clicks to their ads.
With Google Adwords, be sure to set a limit as to how much you want to spend. Otherwise, you can spend a whole lot of money without even realizing it. I recommend setting a daily limit.
Pay per click advertising is good if you want to find out quickly how a product will sell. Be sure to use targeted keywords to attract the people who would be interested in your product or service.
There are many types of advertising. Your job is to determine what types work best for you, and then do it consisently.
If you’d like to find out more detailed information about paid types of advertising, I recommend picking up the following guide by Alice Seba. She knows her stuff! Read more about it or purchase at the link below.
Have a great weekend!

Since we have an embroidery and screen printing company, Selanac Embroidery and Screen Printing, we started to offer ads on white paper bags. We chage $20 per business card size or so ad. We print 1,000 bags per set of twenty ad’s.
We allow customers to buy larger spaces if they want and just double, quadruple etc. depending on the number of spaces they take up.
Our customers (businesses) love the concept for many reasons. One is that the ad’s get into the hands of their customers, and 2, because the ad’s are low cost, 3 because they’re sharing the customers of other local businesses, and four your reaching all the people, not just the ones that are online, but those on and offline.
Paul,
What a great idea! I think those are the things that work. We have to be creative and see what’s going to be effective for the business we’re in.
Thanks for sharing and many blessings.
Laurie
