When Starting a Home Business, Ask God

As Christians, we should strive to include God in EVERYTHING.  As I think about people starting a home  business, it is so important to ask God what He wants you to do.  Does He want you to start a home business?  If yes, what does He want you to do?  I know He has an opinion on the matter.

God gives us all unique gifts and abilities, and we should use those in every way we can.  I just wrote an article about this and you can read it here: Starting a Home Business – What Is God’s Choice?

I didn’t grow up in the church. I was raised in an Atheist home so asking God for direction isn’t something I was used to. I used to think that as long as I wasn’t doing anything against God, I was ok and going to be blessed. I have found that you can do great things that take you away from where God wants you to go. So now I always take my direction from Him. It’s amazing how things work better that way too!

….And your best friend, who is God. A company like yours Laurie, with leading Business Co-ordinators helps a lot too. Today, ask God to show you the road map and path HE wants you to take. I have heard several sermons on “It’s in your hands” and “It’s in the House.” Therefore, we are already equipped to do what He is calling us to do, whether it be a home based business or not. He will guide and I always say, “He will provide what we need.” and He has. But I am saying most is, “Do it with prayer and seeking His face before you begin. He is the Door Opener and He holds YOUR KEY. I know from studying the Scriptures that God put all things into your BIO before you were ever in your mothers womb. He created a wonderful person with much talent and expects us to use them. Think on your talents, but mostly, what you like to do and always know that the desires of your heart was put there by the Lord. Therefore, it’s an understatement to say He wants you happy doing your work, job, business, because HE designed you to do just that. That should make someone happy!!!! God holds the Key…..Always Seek the Lord first. No KEY, NO GO! It’s really that simple. In Isaiah 58 he says, “You shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. No Joy, No Peace, NO GO!

  3. JoJo,
I remember sharing with one of my daughter’s friends (from a Christian home) that I prayed before I went into the grocery store. She looked at me like I was from another planet:-)

I don’t think there’s anything that God doesn’t care about or want to be included in. And what we do with our time, finances and skills is no exception.
