Hi,
Well, my son is off on another golf weekend. This time in Lake Placid. I think he’s thoroughly enjoying the flexibility of working from home.
To bring our discussion of creating an online business to a close, I thought we could look at some other possibilities of things you do to work online that I have previously mentioned in other posts.
- Virtual Assistant
- Internet Research – so many business owners need research done, but don’t have the time to do it themselves. Become their researcher.
- Transcriptionist – transcribe audio/video into typed text
- Medical Transcription – transcribe health professional’s dictation into text. You do need specific training in this.
All of the business we have talked about can be started without putting in a huge investment. Medical Transcription may require some equipment, but the others are minimal in startup costs.
I hope you will consider the options we’ve discussed and that they will get you thinking about what YOU can do to create an online business.
To your success!

Talking about doing research for other companys that don’t have time. I am wondering what kind of things they are looking for, and is ther any information about how they pay ect?
HI Daniel,
Many business owners write articles, reports and ebooks, all that may involve research into a particular topic. Many don’t want to take the time to do the research themselves.
I don’t know specifically what topics they look for, as this will be different, depending on what type of business they’re in. It’s a good idea to choose a particular area that you already have some knowledge and interest in to get started. You can expand later, but in the meantime, you can build up a client following in that particular niche.
Pay will depend on who your clients are.
