I subscribe to Google Alerts to keep up with what’s going on in the Home Business arena. I read an interesting press release yesterday about how many people are turning to home based businesses in today’s economy.
As the news release stated, it is much easier and less expensive to start a home based business than a brick and mortar business. There is much less startup capital needed and overhead expenses. Today, with many being unsure of what the future holds with their current employer, it’s a good idea to think about starting a home based business on the side and growing it to the point, where, if you choose, or if you are forced to, it could support you.
You may want to ask yourself, “if my current position is ended, what would I do”? This is not to instill fear, but to plan ahead. Think now about what you would do if you could choose a second career. Begin researching different home business options and see which one would fit with your interests, strengths and time schedule.
People are choosing to work for themselves more and more. Would you like to be one of them?
