FIND PROFITABLE NICHE MARKETS
What is a niche market?
A niche market is a group of people or businesses that have similar interests and needs. This needs to be a group that can be easily reached.
How do you find profitable niche markets?
First, start with something you have some knowledge in and feel strongly about. The foundation for this could be a strong interest, a belief, or a conviction.
Then determine what the need and demand is for what you want to offer. (see article on Researching Your Target Market to find out how to do this.)
Once you have chosen a niche and determined that there is a market willing to pay for what you want to offer, you need to set yourself apart. What is different about your product or service than all the rest already being offered? You need to find something that will make you the best in your niche.
How to Get People's Interest
A good way to introduce others to your product/service is to offer free ebooks on topics related to your niche. That way, they get to know what you know, and begin to see you as knowledgeable in the field. If you create a high quality free resource, it will build up trust so that they will be more willing to spend money with you.
When starting out , look around at other websites in your niche. Notice what they offer and try to do something better or different. You may want to narrow down your focus within your niche to reach a certain group of people who can turn to you as their expert.
To get ideas, you can do some keyword research at www.wordtracker.com Put in your main keywords, and see what smaller (more narrow) niches come up. Again, going back to what we said before, fit it to your personal interests and passions.
It's a good idea to talk to people who would be in your market, and get their thoughts about what you want to offer. Would they buy it? What do they see as the best points about your product?
You can give your product away for free to a few people in the beginning in exchange for some testimonials. People love to read testimonials, and they can really increase your conversion rates. Offer a free copy of your ebook, product or service in exchange for someone's opinion - negative or positive. Use the negative responses as a way to improve upon your product, and use the positive as testimonials on your site or blog,
